Luke Soucy Position Communications Specialist Office Phone 609-258-3951 Email [email protected] Office 141 East Pyne Bio/Description As the Classics Department's coordinator for events and communications, I take point on the program's lectures, conferences, and special events, as well as its media presence. I also act as assistant to the department chair. I'm always interested to hear what members of the Department are working on and how we can help that news reach the right audience, so don't hesitate to drop me a line!In the rest of my life, I serve the public as a breakfast food enthusiast, vocal Minnesota native, and increasingly less recent graduate of Princeton University, where I studied English and Latin. I previously worked as an Administrative Assistant in Princeton's Molecular Biology department, and have been known to moonlight as a literary translator—my translation of Ovid's Metamorphoses was shortlisted for the 2024 National Translation Award in Poetry. When not in the office, I can usually be found squinting into the middle distance or walking back from the grocery store.
