I earned my BA in Classics from the Macaulay Honors College at Brooklyn College (CUNY) in 2017, where I wrote a senior thesis examining hospitality and gender in the Odyssey and Irish saga. I then completed my MA in Classics at the University of Arizona in 2020 with a thesis analyzing Euripides’ Hecuba through the lens of trauma studies. After this brief sojourn in the desert, I returned to Brooklyn, where I taught middle school Latin before joining the Classics department at Princeton in 2021. Much of my training in Latin and Greek is owed to the Latin/Greek Institute at the CUNY Graduate Center (summer 2017, 2018, and 2019).

At present, my main interests lay in comparative and reception studies, as my master’s thesis sought to parallel the experience and speeches of Hecuba with testimonials of contemporary trauma survivors, particularly the Korean comfort women of WWII. This analysis was performed primarily through close reading and examination of expressions of feeling "out of time" and the unutterable. Additionally, I enjoy working with Latin paleography and have an incipient interest in Medieval Greek and Latin.
