Jessica Lopez '24 Bio/Description Though most studied in Ancient Roman language and literature, I am committed to learning about all aspects of the Classical world. I have performed works of Plautus in their original Latin, excavated coins from the soil of Pella, Greece, and constructed arguments using the rhetoric of Aristotle and Cicero. I am most interested, however, in the mythology of the ancient world and how such narratives affected Greek and Roman daily life. In addition to studying Classics, I am also pursuing certificates in linguistics, theater, and creative writing. My hope is to one day write professionally using themes and techniques from the ancient world.
