Bio
After earning a BA in history from Central China Normal University (2012) and an MA in history from Indiana University at Bloomington (2014), I came to Princeton's Classics Department and joined the Program in the Ancient World in the fall of 2014. Despite my initial plan to study Greek history and historiography (especially Xenophon), I became so interested in ancient Rome that I later changed my specialization. As for my dissertation project, I attempt to investigate the interpersonal network represented in Cicero's correspondence with Atticus by drawing on social network analysis and digital humanities. Besides the Classics, I also enjoy reading Japanese literature (both modern and classical) and am enthusiastic about cooking, as I was tremendously influenced by the Japanese manga titled (Shin) Chuka Ichiban! by Ogawa Etsushi.
