Dr. Paul Eberwine *25 April 18, 2025 Princeton Classics is delighted to congratulate Dr. Paul Eberwine *25 on his appointment to the Classical Studies faculty of the College of William & Mary. As Visiting Assistant Teaching Professor, he will design and instruct a range of Greek and Latin language courses, classical civilization courses and interdisciplinary seminars.“I’m excited to teach across subfields and disciplinary boundaries,” said Eberwine of his new position. “I enjoy teaching courses that put the past and the present in dialogue, and I particularly encourage students to see the study of antiquity as a way to think more deeply about what matters to them in today's world.”According to Dr. Eberwine, these classes will draw directly “on the broad-based training” he received from both Princeton’s Classics Department and Interdisciplinary Doctoral Program in the Humanities. “I'm especially grateful for the truly outstanding faculty mentorship I've received during my time at Princeton, particularly from my advisers Josh Billings, Emily Greenwood, and Brooke Holmes.”While at Princeton, Eberwine’s illustrious performance record has won him awards and recognition, including the Graduate School’s Harold W. Dodds Fellowship. A Philadelphia native, he previously served a Fulbright in Germany and received a variety of prizes as an undergraduate at Yale.
