Spring 2021

We will read selections from Cicero and Vergil, two masters of prose and poetry respectively. Our objectives are: to develop the ability to read Latin with greater ease and enjoyment; to improve sight-reading skills; to experience the artistry of Latin prose and poetry; and to examine some of the questions associated with the Romans' interpretation of their history and empire.
